About me
Ivan brings over 30 years of deep expertise in mainframe technologies, mainly in Db2 for z/OS, with experience as a System Architect, Consultant, DBA, and Systems Programmer. In his current role, he focuses on supporting and advancing enterprise data solutions for mainframe environments.
He began working with Db2 in 1996 as a Database and Systems Administrator and has since held key technical roles across telecommunications, banking, insurance, and public sector organizations. Since 2015, he has been working as a consultant and system architect, specializing in large-scale mainframe and Db2 architectures.
Beyond his technical career, Ivan has been an IT instructor in mainframe technologies, an active volunteer within the SpDUG (Spain Db2 User Group), and an IBM Champion from 2022 to 2025, recognizing his leadership and contributions to the technical community. He is eager to rejoin the IBM Champion program this year and continue contributing to the community.
On a personal note, Ivan has a strong passion for theater, reflecting his creativity, communication skills, and enthusiasm.
