About me
I’m a senior engineering leader with more than 35 years working across IBM Z, Db2 for z/OS, and large‑scale enterprise systems — helping organisations cut cost, reduce risk, and modernise. My career has focused on solving the kinds of performance, scalability, and architectural challenges that impact millions of transactions and entire business lines. Today, I build high‑performance mainframe software as part of BMC Software, designing and developing solutions that make complex platforms simpler, faster, and more resilient. Beyond my role at BMC, I contribute heavily to the wider technical community. I’m a five‑time IBM Champion, Open Mainframe Project Ambassador, UK Db2 User Group Co‑Chair, and co‑host of the IDUG “Db2 Table Talk” podcast. I regularly speak at international events, universities, and user groups, where I break down complex technical ideas for engineers, leaders, and early‑career technologists alike.
