About me
I am a Principal Consultant with Triton Consulting, based in the UK. I have been working in IT for over 40 years, and as a DB2 DBA for 35. I have worked on DB2 installations ranging from single user local Windows based systems to 100+ TB DB2 Warehouses.
I have also been involved in Business Intelligence solutions; designing and implementing systems using various RDMS data sources. I have worked for a large range of customers, mostly Blue-Chip household names, in roles including design, development, implementation and support. I began using DB2 when the most current release was V2.1 and I am an IBM Certified Database Administrator for DB2 11.5 for LUW and all points in between (with several related certifications too). My current client base includes those using the latest 11.5 offerings all the way down to some still running on 9.1.
These days I am heavily involved with migrations to and support of Cloud-hosted Db2 implementations using AWS, Azure and IBM solutions. I am an active member of the IBM Champions group, a regular speaker at IDUG conferences and an IBM Gold Consultant.
