Michael Tiefenbacher holds a Master of Science degree from the Munich Institute of Technology. He began his career as a Db2 trainer and was instrumental in introducing IBM’s Business Intelligence course curriculum in Germany.
With more than 25 years of experience in projects and consulting, Michael focuses on the architecture and implementation of data warehouse solutions, specializing in SQL‑based data processing and modern ETL technologies.

He is a frequent conference speaker and has been recognized as an IBM Gold Consultant and IBM Champion continuously since 2010. In addition, Michael is one of the RUG leaders of the DeDUG user group in Germany, where he actively contributes to the data and analytics community.
