This is a back-to-basics session, enhanced with experiences from real situations and best practices.
This session was presented at IDUG NA 2025 in Atlanta. It was in the Top10 of the user sessions. I will update the material to version 12.1 and preferrably include details regaring AI optimizer

In addition, test migrations should be possible with no or minimal impact on a productive system. The presentation shows, how Db2 can be migrated to 12.1 including OS upgrade scenarios and cluster technology changes, build on pure Db2 functionality. It describes a near zero downtime solution. With it's repeatability, the solution can easily be used for pre-migration testing.

Each team will have a few minutes at a keyboard to solve the current problem before the keyboard is passed to the next team.
